MANGE

Mange is a SYMPTOM of a compromised immune system. Every mammal has mange mites on them, even us. A healthy immune system keeps them in check!!

HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT FOR SARCOPTIC MANGE:
Choose the remedy(s) that fit the symptoms.

SULPHUR 30c, 1m & 10m..........This is the most important remedy and should be given in these ascending potencies, one dose of each on 3 consecutive days.

ARSENICUM ALBUM 1m......For animals who drink frequently, are restless and experience an aggravation of symptoms after midnight. There may be associated diahrrea or caverous (nectrotic) odor while unaffected areas of the skin are dry & scaly. This remedy could be employed after sulphur because of its beneficial effect on the skin. Dose: one per day for one week.

HYDROCOTYLE 30c.......This remedy could be of use in more advanced cases where corregation of the skin has taken place. It also has a beneficial action on the small pustules which arise. Dose: one twice daily for one week.

PSORINUM 1m......Occasionally an animal will be met with where sulphur has failed to produce a completely satisfactory response. When this happens Psorinum will probably bring about the desired result. Dose: one daily for 3 days.

SEPIA 30c.....Gives good results constitutionally when given as a convalescent remedy after the administration of the foregoing remedies.
Dose: one per week for 4 weeks.

PREVENTION: When mange appers in kennels or boarding establishments Psorinum should be given to all in-contact animals. This being the scabies nosode, can be employed prophlactically as well as therapeutically. One dose per day for 3 consecutive days.

About the long term effects of those toxic dips; Paramite & Mitaban. If you have access to a bottle of one of these read the warnings on the label, it's incredible, and they want us to put that stuff on our dogs? Remember too that the liver is a detoxifying organ, it filters all of the toxins out of the body. I have seen young dogs die from scirrosis of the liver due to these dips. I have seen dogs whose immune systems will never recover after being vaccinated with combo vaccines and dipped with one of these. IMO, the side effects of the dips are MUCH worse than the mange itself, especially when the mange can be treated with homeopaths that have NO side effects. A dog with mange already has a weakened immune system, using one of these toxic dips suppresses it even more leaving the dog wide open to god knows what. The best defense is a good offense, ie..a properly working immune system.

Mosquito Remedy

Mosquito repellent. . .guard against Heartworm

I test annually, but do not give the preventative. Instead, I keep the mosquitoes off the dogs and the human family as well by using the following recipe:

1 Cup Avon's Skin-So-Soft bath oil
1 Cup water
1/4 Cup organic apple cider vinegar
4-5 drops Eucalyptus oil

Mix together in a spray bottle and spray the family silly!!! It smells
nice, is non-toxic and the bugs hate it.
